RFID Tag HID identiFUEL Cap

The identiFUEL Cap tags are intended to be mounted on the fuel inlets of industrial vehicles, with the aim of providing wireless identification of the vehicle and the type of fuel required when used with a corresponding Fuel Management System (FMS).

These tags have been programmed to store the vehicle's fuel requirements, which prevents fuel contamination and avoids undesirable situations, such as accidental mixing of gasoline with diesel. The identiFUEL devices are resistant to both water and fuel and are designed to withstand typical conditions when installed in commercial or consumer fleet vehicles, as well as construction vehicles.

Product description identiFUEL Cap

The identiFUEL Cap operates at a frequency of 125 kHz and uses a HITAG S type chip with a 256-bit EEPROM memory. The reading distance can reach up to 70 mm in combination with the HBN903 nozzle unit.

The dimensions of these tags are 30 × 17 × 20 mm, and the housing is made of PA6 - GF 15%. Each tag weighs 8.6 g and can function in a temperature range from -25°C to +80°C.

They feature an anti-tampering mechanical design, which ensures that if the tag is removed after installation, it is immediately destroyed to prevent any attempt at vehicle interchange, thus increasing the system's robustness.
