The AWR250 is an RFID reader with several notable advantages. Firstly, it is capable of reading a wide variety of transponders, including HDX and FDX-B types, ear tags, and boluses. Furthermore, it complies with the ISO 11784/5 standard, ensuring its compatibility with recognized industry standards in animal management.
The AWR250's housing combines lightweight and robustness, making it durable yet easy to handle thanks to its ergonomic design. An important feature is its high-performance lithium-ion battery, which provides a long operating and standby time.
For convenient energy management, it can be recharged from any USB power source. In continuous reading mode, which is ideal for situations requiring quick readings, such as during animal loading or unloading, the battery can last for up to approximately 6 hours. In the normal "press and read" mode, the battery can last for several days.

The memory of the AWR250 is quite extensive, allowing storage of up to 100,000 records in groups. Additionally, it features a built-in real-time clock that records the date and time of each reading. It also has visual indicators and a vibrating motor to facilitate monitoring of the reading process, even in noisy environments.
